Is Your Flirty Friend Driving You Crazy?

How To Deal With A Flirty Friend

Every girl wants their boyfriend to get on with their close circle of friends, but what can you do when your friends get a little bit to familiar. Consider this all too common scene: You’re glad that your boyfriend (or girlfriend, it makes no difference) gets on really well with all your friends, but there is one friend that may just be getting on a little too well with your partner.

When you’re all out in a group together she will openly flirt with him, looking intently into his eyes and gently touches him when they talk. But, she even follows you home – she sends texts to your partner several times a day, and although he is open about the communication it still niggles at you because she has never mentioned it. Now her texts to him have become a little bit risque. So what should you do about it?

Well, not that he would ever admit it to you, you’re boyfriend enjoys the attention and that is part of the problem. Instead of discouraging your friend, he is encouraging her by not putting a stop to her flirtation, or simply ignoring it. Once he knows how much it affects you, he should have no problem nipping it in the bud, by no longer replying to his texts.

Now you have to deal with your ‘friend’ – she has no idea you know about her texts and probably feels like she has on over on you. So the next time you are together, you can catch her off guard and confront her in a controlled and dignified way.

Tell her that you and your boyfriend laugh at her texts to make it clear that you don’t consider her as a threat to your relationship. But, also make it clear that she should really be focusing on finding a guy of her own instead of spending all her time texting yours. If she doesn’t take these very strong hints and cut out her flirtatious behaviour, it’s probably time to end your friendship as she is toxic.
