Guys, Girls Really Do Hate Those Cheesy Chat-Up Lines
Guys, you know the situation – you have spotted a gorgeous girl from across the room. She gives you that shy smile that is a good sign that she in interested in you, so you take a deep breath and stroll over. You have the perfect opening line all ready; it’s one of your favourite chat-up lines and you are sure you are going to get a laugh from her, and maybe even her number. STOP! That isn’t going to work out for you, or anyone!
A recent survey for the dating app ‘Flirt Planet’ has found that a whopping 95% of women and girls are not impressed by cheesy chat-up lines and banter. The worst chat up line of all time has been voted to be: “I like that dress, but it would look better on my bedroom floor.”
Other chat up line that will turn her stomach include: “I’m looking for treasure – can I have a look around your chest?” and “Your eyes are like spanners – every time I look at them my nuts tighten.” I find it hard to believe that there is a human being on Earth that would fall for one of those lines.
Don’t think the high brow route is going to work for you either – one in four women get bored when a guy decides to talk about politics, and who can blame them. Just keep it simple…more than 50% of women would love a gentle complement like “You have pretty eyes.” And almost half of women, 44% to be precise, will be happy with the offer of a drink.
So the next time you think of telling a girl you would “like to rearrange the alphabet..”, think again!
