Guys, you have spotted a gorgeous girl across the room, she has given you the smile and you make your way over to her ready the charm the pants of her. You open your mouth ready to woo her with that special sexy voice of yours…STOP! Women just can’t stand your ‘sexy’ voice – it could in fact be called a verbal contraceptive, that is how much of a turn off it really is.
A new study form Albright College in Pennsylvania found that whilst women can achieve great flirting success with their ‘sexy voice’, men definitely do not. The study, published in the ‘Journal of Nonverbal Behaviour’, asked men and women to “speak as if they were trying to impress someone with whom they were romantically interested.”
When it came to women and the low husky voice they use to flirt, men couldn’t get enough of it, associating a sexy voice with a good physique and attractive face. But when men tried to woo with their ‘sexy voice’ it fell extremely flat – women just weren’t feeling it at all.
According to the study – in what is a sad day for feminism – women were most attracted to the men who sounded rich. So how do men sound rich? It is all about confidence – the men who sounded the most confident were the most attractive for the opposite sex.
So men it is time to ditch that voice for good. Women, as you were.
