Don’t Be The Person Everyone Avoids At The Christmas Party – The Kisser!

There are a number of characters that can be found at the work’s Christmas party, including the lightweight that is telling everyone that they love them before the first Christmas song has finished; the big mouth, who is revealing the secrets of workmates over a hushed mince pie; the cry baby, who is in tears in the corner for no particular reason; and the flirt, who already has the hotel room booked.

But, there is one character that is the scourge of the Christmas party – The Kisser. According to a survey by British bar chain, Brown, 70% of people say that the dreaded ‘Kisser’ is by far the worst office party character.

The Kisser is the person that just can’t take no for an answer – they want their Christmas kiss and will go to extraordinary lengths to get it, from the sneak attack to chasing you around the office with mistletoe. They are hard to deal with because they don’t seem to understand that some people just don’t want to kiss them. They think everyone in the office can’t wait to receive their Christmas kiss and that any avoidance tactics are just for laughs.

Someone so delusional can be a right pest, but if you have an appropriate buffer, you can stop them from slobbering from all over you. Simply make sure you have a drink in your hand at all times, and when they come in for the kiss, ‘accidentally’ spill your drink all over them. After a couple of times, the kisser, will be sick of getting wet and move onto another victim – it’s the best type of negative reinforcement.

This party season, don’t be ‘The Kisser’, let people enjoy the festive season, without having to dodge your lips at every turn.
