Want to Flirt with Eamon Sullivan? You’ll Find Him in the Kitchen
He is gorgeous, successful and single – yes Olympic swimmer Eamon Sullivan seems like the perfect candidate for the Australian version of hit US reality TV show, ‘The Bachelor’. A perfect candidate he may be, but Eamon has decided to turn down the offer, despite being named Cleo Magazine’s ‘Bachelor of the Year’ in 2011. Eamon said: “…it would be nice to meet 20 ladies, but it’s not worth losing my dignity for…I think.”
Since winning Australia’s first ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ in 2009 (yes ladies he can cook too), the offers to appear on other reality TV shows have come thick and fast. But some of them were not to the swimmer’s taste, Eamon explains: “I got offered to go on ‘Dancing with the Stars, but I’m not into parading around like a piece of meat. I’m quite happy being in my kitchen, cooking.”
Eamon has announced this week that he plans to retire from competitive swimming following the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. So if flirting isn’t his cup of tea, what will be next for Eamon Sullivan?
Following his retirement, Eamon wants to put his energies into his big passions, his cafe ‘Louis Baxters’ and his restaurant ‘Bib and Tucker’. “Cooking and travel wise, I’d love to have some form of TV show, but definitely my first passion is my cafe and restaurant. It’s something that people can benefit from an enjoy.”
We bet there are 20 disappointed women, knowing that Eamon Sullivan is not going to be ‘The Bachelor”.
