Friends With Benefits Can Be A Great Thing

Perhaps you have seen the 2011 movie ‘Friends With Benefits’ with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis and thought ‘that will never work’. Still, it does appeal to those are looking for non-serious and attachment free, fun between the sheets, without any commitment  involved. A great place to find this kind of relationship is in a friend that you have a physical attraction to.

However, there is a chance that things will get complicated, such as one party develops feelings for the other, and this can negatively affect what was once a great friendship. Well it doesn’t have to be that way, friends with benefits can be a really great thing, without ruining a friendship. You just have to do it the right way…

• No Feelings, No Problem – Before you enter this kind f arrangement, make sure neither participant has feelings for the other. It is sure to be awkward if either person decides they want more than the arrangement allows. It will eventually lead to jealousy and bitterness when they see the other person getting flirtatious with someone else.

• Rules Are Rules – Yes it is boring, but you really should define what the ‘friends with benefits’ arrangement means before you hop in the sack together. For example can the other person have sex with someone else? Does the arrangement end when one party starts dating someone else? You need to make these rules to ensure that no one gets hurt.

• Communication – Because you’re friends with this person, you should be able to talk to them easily about most things, including what you like in bed. You can even try something new with someone you already have a level of comfort with, and if it doesn’t go to plan, you can laugh about it afterwards.

• Take It Back – When it is over, go back to being friends, it is simple really. You were sleeping together for a bit of fun and now you can have fun in the conventional sense with your friend.

So maybe ‘friends with benefits’ can work for you after all.
