Insurance company, Geico have recently launched a new smartphone app and they are so proud of it that they recorded one of their trademark, tongue-in-cheek adverts to celebrate it’s release. A 30 second ad, which see’s a cheeky lady flirt with a talking pig has seen Geico flirt with controversy (well kind of), following complaints from a Christian group.

The advert sees Maxwell the Geico pig on a date with an attractive young lady on a lover’s lane. The car has broken down and to pass the time the girl suggests she wants to make out with the pig, only to be disappointed to learn a tow truck is on the way. No more flirting for the girl and her porky companion.

Not Fans of Bacon Huh?

In one of the more ridiculous flirting stories of the week, the Christian group One Million Moms, clearly could not see the funny side and spoke out against the add calling it repulsive. They added that :”It is disgusting to see how the company takes lightly the act of bestiality.”

We dread to think what they would make of the special relationship between a hungover man and his bacon sandwich.
