It’s pretty easy to notice when a confident person is flirting with you, but how on earth do you tell when someone shy and retiring is giving you the come on. It’s quite easy to misjudge a shy persons flirting for social awkwardness, so here are a few little hints to help decide if the quiet object of your desire is into you or not…

• Almost Eye Contact – They will look at you, then look away, then look again then look away, then look again…and so on, until you initiate contact (unless they run away before you get to them).

• Facebook Friend Request – Talking face to face may just be too much for them, so here comes the Facebook friend request. Be prepared for plenty of ‘Likes’ but not much actual contact…that may have to come from you, if your interested of course.

• Giving Song Recommendations – They may suggest that you listen to a song (or read a poem etc), within which, will describe their feelings in full. Awkward and embarrassing as it may be, it is quite sweet.

• Getting in the Friend Zone – It is an easy way to get some face time without any date tension. Requests for you time may become more frequent, with increasingly more date style activities suggested.

Be patient with your timid target, it may take them some time, but they will get there.
