Freelancers are almost a sub-culture in themselves – most of them with rarely be found more than 6 feet away from their computer, frantically checking their emails hoping for the next job will come through. So they may be a difficult group of people to flirt with, so how do you flirt with freelancers.

Well the obvious thing to say is to catch them through social media as many are actually surgically attached to their laptops or Ipads. Often they rarely leave their house (often also their place of work), except when they hear rumors of a networking event. So maybe a long drawn out conversation is not going to get you very far, but there are some chat up lines and techniques you can try that will fool the freelancer into thinking they are talking about work…

• Tell the freelancer that you know a great place for networking and then give them the address for your place.

• How about this for a killer chat-up line: “You may be your own boss, but who’s in charge of those gorgeous lips?”

• Ask them: “What is your day rate, and would it be possible to pay you in kisses and such?”

• Tell them that it’s good they only work part-time as you are looking for a full-time lover. Yes it is cheesy, but it is sure to make them smile.
