Men are the Worst Offenders
When it comes to online dating it can be argued than men are the worst offenders when it comes to making the biggest faux pas. It could be that the competitive element brings out the absolute worst in men, making them try to hard and come across as weird, desperate and creepy.
Online Dating Disasters Can Be Avoided
If you guys know what you should not be doing when online dating, the whole experience should be a lot more rewarding…
- Don’t post unrealistic or embarrassing photos – Never post photos with your shirt off, it is just too cringe-worthy; never post photos of yourself 10 years or 10 kilos ago, you don’t want to be mistaken for your own father; and always post a happy, relaxed and most importantly, recent photo.
- Don’t be creepy – You may think that you are being witty and charmingĀ sending a girl persistent flirty messages. You’re not! You are in fact verging on being a stalker and a desperate one at that. Learn to take the hint…seriously, learn!
- Don’t be a bloody bore – Generic messages, such as, ‘Hi, how was your weekend’ is going to have her heading for the delete button. Small talk is dull, get into something more interesting- ask her questions about her life, based on her profile and show off your own personality.
- Don’t be a douche – It seems pretty obvious, but you probably don’t even realize you are being a complete moron. Don’t, and I mean don’t ever, post about how much money you earn, it’s such a turn off; never post about how much you can bench at the gym, there is a lot that can be said for modesty; chest-beat and he girl will retreat.
Hopefully, these little tips will help you meet the cyber girl of your dreams.
