Why does it seem that some women flirt way more when they are in a relationship and not with their partner either? They were sweet and reserved when you met them, only having eyes for you and you couldn’t possibly imagine them flirting with anyone else. But as soon as you have locked them into a relationship they go flirt mad, turning on the charm with anyone they see, you would be surprised if they remember your name. So why is your girl flirting so much?

• Big Science Words – The reason your lady is flirting could be sublimated hypergamy, which basically means that women are evolutionary programmed to trade up to the alpha male (whether they realise they are doing it or not) and for this reason flirting comes naturally to them.

• Reassurance – She may just be looking for reassurance that she is still attractive. Women in long term relationships have a tendency to view the assurances they get from their partner as less valuable than the attention from strangers, acquaintances etc. They may believe that their partners assurances are biased following so long together – they may need to get the validation on their attractiveness elsewhere, hence the flirting.
